Holly and Jacob brought their little girl, Lolla, to Taitua Arboretum with a cake, two wine glasses, and a question they'd been sitting with for months.


We set up on a picnic blanket tucked into the trees. It was quiet at first, that calm right before something big happens. They picked up the glasses, cut in together, and there it was. Pink cake. A baby girl.


The moment right after was the whole session. The shock, the laughing, the looks on their faces. Lolla was right in the middle of it, watching her parents light up.


Once the reveal had landed, we walked through the Arboretum, and I kept shooting. Cuddles, little games, holding hands. The kind of photos that look ordinary in the moment but end up being the ones you love the most. They walked in as a family of three with a question and walked out as a family of four in their heads.
